This is the main operation of Hung Vuong Corporation. Started with just one processing factory it now operates five affiliated plants – Hung Vuong 1 (DL 308, Hung Vuong 2 (DL 386), Hung Vuong Asia (DL 27), An Lac (DL 21) and Hung Vuong – Vinh Long (DL 36). All five plants are situated on the riverside, very convenient for the receiving of raw material of live fish transported from the vicinity to the plants. This is crucial for the production of frozen products with freshness, nice color and firm texture, a trademark of Hung Vuong’s products.
All the plants were built, upgraded with modern equipment to help give total production capacity of 50,000MT a year. An Lac factory at My Tho Industrial Park, Tien Giang Province alone has a capacity of 100 tonnes of pangasius a day with a workforce of 2000 employees. This plant was officially launched into operation in October 2006. Hung Vuong and An Lac factory have made a number of strategic moves one of which is the success in applying the quality control system of Asiel 9001 version 2000, by BBQI marking another step forward to our company underway to perfect itself.
Our development was not limited to the building of new factories, expanding operation scale or appropriate investing into farming, in 2006 Hung Vuong Corporation put into operation a cold storage that can accommodate over 10,000 tonnes of goods in Tan Tao Industrial Park in Ho Chi Minh City. The storage was designed for fish and seafood produce, fruit and vegetable for export and domestic markets. The 5 million dollar facility was installed with European and Japanese made equipment that can automatically adjust temperatures from -22 to 5 degrees Celsius. This is among the largest storages in Vietnam and largest in southern Vietnam by a local enterprise.
The operation of storage has contributed considerably to the income of Hung Vuong Corporation. Thus, in 2008 Hung Vuong will be building a new 30,000MT cold storage, which will be biggest cold storage in Vietnam and the South East Asia region.
